Ten days in Almaty, day by day
This is a real programme we have run for families from the Gulf. Every day is a full day with your guide-driver-translator and your own vehicle: we collect you from the hotel in the morning and bring you back in the evening. Days can be swapped, shortened or replaced, it is a starting point, not a fixed package.

Arrival and the first view of the city
We meet you at Almaty airport. After you have rested, we go up Kok Tobe hill for lunch and the view over the whole city, then walk the Arbat pedestrian street and Panfilov Park.

Medeu, Shymbulak and Butakovka gorge
The mountain river, the Medeu skating rink, then three cable-car stages up to 3,200 metres at Shymbulak. After lunch, the Butakovka gorge, a walk beside the river through the pines up to the waterfall. Or shopping at Dostyk Plaza instead.

Oi-Qaragai mountain resort
A full day at the resort with open chairlifts, a zipline, horse riding and cycling. An easy day where everyone chooses their own pace.

Issyk Lake and the Golden Man
Out of the city to the Golden Man museum, then up to the mountain lake of Issyk. River fishing and lunch by the water.

Turgen gorge and the Bear waterfall
The Turgen valley and its salmon farm: lunch is the fish you catch, or a picnic by the river. Afterwards the walk up to the Bear waterfall.

Almarasan valley and the falcon reserve
Shopping at Mega Mall and a walk in the First President Park, then the Almarasan valley with lunch by the river. At five in the afternoon, the show at the Sunkar falcon and eagle reserve, and archery for those who want it.

Botanic garden and Grand Park
The botanic park with its trees, plants and aquarium, a walk around the Swissôtel grounds, and the last shopping at Grand Park before you fly home the next day.
